Carnoustie Golf Links - LinksCC

Carnoustie Golf Links is a public links situated in Angus on the east coast of Scotland. The Carnoustie Links consists of three courses, which are highly rated in the UK and around the world.

NEED

Carnoustie Golf Links used an existing system, called LinksCC, which was developed specifically for them to manage certain aspects of the business. The system covers a variety of areas from maintaining a list of members to making payment for green fees and related shop items. The company that originally developed the system, and provided their support & maintenance, had unfortunately gone out of business. For this reason they were looking for someone who could provide ongoing support for the system.

SOLUTION

We conducted a review of LinksCC to determine whether we could take over support. Following this review we submitted a proposal detailing our plans for the project and the associated costs. This involved a handover between the original developer and our support team. This allowed us to quickly get up to speed with the application and set up the necessary test environments.

Part of this process included general upgrades to the system which aligned the existing code with the rest of our applications. This allows us to carry out support according to our standard patterns and practices, ensuring Carnoustie Golf Links receive the best service possible.

In addition to supporting the system, we are able to provide ongoing development via our project team, helping Carnoustie Golf Links evolve the system and add new features as required.

BENEFITS

Carnoustie now have a dedicated support team on-hand should any system errors occur. Our team can provide the assistance they need relating to the resolution of any issues. Graeme Duncan, General Manager at Carnoustie Golf Links, comments:

“We sent our original support request to three suppliers but Codify were the only ones with the right capabilities, showed enthusiasm for the project and had sufficient resources to handle our needs. Since taking over the support of our system they have smoothly handled all of our queries.”
