CODIFY ADDS BUSINESS VALUE FOR CLIENT
Aberdeen based software solutions company, Codify, has recently completed a six
figure project for local client RBG Limited, a Life of Field services contractor
within the international oil, gas and petrochemical markets. The project lasted
about 18 months and involved streamlining in-house software systems to provide updated,
automated processes which will evolve to meet future business needs.
"RBG contacted Codify in relation to developing their existing manpower services
software so that the systems could be improved to cope with the company's fast growing
business requirements and increasing employee numbers," explains Codify's managing
director Mark Griffiths.
"We used innovative technologies to develop their existing database application
to accommodate the requirements of various additional departments. This resulted
in the creation of a new, upgraded application, known as 'PATHWAY'."
Mark adds, "It was important that the work carried out for RBG resulted in a user
friendly software environment which also provided integration with the financial
systems."
"Using state of the art programming technology enabled us to develop the system
quickly and efficiently, whilst also ensuring that the RBG personnel retained a
sense of ownership of the system."
From RBG's perspective, undertaking such a software system review has resulted in
additional business benefits. Kevin Wyness, IT systems analyst with RBG says, "Using
PATHWAY's extranet capability, we are now able to offer our Quality Services clients
secure online access to project reports and key information. This means clients
can choose to access the latest data when it's convenient for them."
Mark of Codify adds, "The projects that we have undertaken with RBG are good examples
of the role that software development can play during periods of rapid business
growth."
