Technology has changed a lot since Mark got his first computer in the early 1980s – a ZX81 which came with a manual that taught him the BASIC language. Around the same time, he had a Top Gun-inspired dream to be a fighter pilot which sadly never quite took off (see what we did there?). After graduating in computing science from RGIT (now RGU), Mark worked in software-related jobs for a number of oil and gas firms before setting up Codify in 2000. Twitter and Hacker News are his go-to technology newsfeeds, but for a bit of downtime he enjoys F1, MotoGP and running.
