Swagelok Scotland Teesside Ireland are authorised Swagelok sales
and service centres providing fluid system solutions, including
products, assemblies, and services for a number of industries,
including oil and gas, petrochemical and semiconductor.
Their services include custom solutions, a suite of Inventory
Management Programmes and a high class training facility all backed
up with a dedicated team of customer support and technical service
Previously, all training for Swagelok Scotland Teesside
Ireland was managed in spread sheets. This became a time consuming
process not only in scheduling courses but in the administration
time taken to create certificates and delegate badges. In addition,
Swagelok Company require regular reports from Swagelok Scotland
Teesside Ireland and the time to create these reports was growing
as the amount of training undertaken increased.
John Wilson, Operations Director, had worked with Codify in a
previous role and knew what could be achieved by implementing
bespoke software and so approached Codify to replace the
spreadsheets with a new application.
The solution presented by Codify to the organisation was, which
is a multi-user, web based application designed to:
- Streamline the management of internal employee and external
- Reduce the administration time spent on producing
- Make scheduling of courses simple by including a calendar for
- Automate reports and remove the need for multiple
- Report in the structure required by Swagelok's Reward and
Results program taking into account complex business rules
- Be used in the four different locations, Aberdeen, Glasgow,
Teesside and Ireland
The application has brought a number of benefits as John
explains, "The new application has made the whole process faster,
efficient and more accurate. In particular the ability to print
delegate cards and certificates at the touch of a button has
dramatically reduced the administrative burden."
John continues, "The application is flexible and this allowed us
to make changes to it over the years as the company has grown. We
also use it to bring benefits to our customers, by quickly finding
information on a specific delegate and providing reports to our
clients on the training undertaken by their staff. STARS is easy to
use and the team uses it every day."
