Christmas 2014

Team Codify celebrated Christmas on Friday with a festive afternoon of Secret Santa, our Christmas Challenge and dinner at the Lairhillock. There was the usual assortment of silly and oddly useful presents and this year's challenge was particularly challenging.

Julia set us the task of composing a limerick, poem or jingle from a selection of Christmassy words. We quite quickly discovered that technology is more our forte but a couple of the teams excelled themselves.

The team who showed the most enthusiasm, commitment to entertainment and skill presented us with a group effort. They all joined in with a bit of reluctant dancing, some backing "music" and smiles. To the altered lyrics of "Santa got stuck up the chimney", Fiona serenaded us with their version:

"When Santa got stuck up the Christmas Tree

He began to shout

You boys and girls won't get any toys

If you don't help me out!

I ate all the figgy puddings

And got stuck up this figging tree

My stocking are caught on the holly

And the kiddies are laughing at me!"

Well done to the winners who received a chocolate selection box each and £250 to donate to a charity of their choice. They selected AMFF, a charity dedicated to cholangiocarcinoma

The winning team, Steven, Fiona, Jack, Adam and Tom.

From all at Team Codify we would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. See you in 2015.
